At Fees you can afford

The firm’s fee structure is determined according to the type of mandate it has to execute.

High Court matters and Magistrate’s Court matters are obviously charged according to various tariffs. Where a time-billing system is used the client is advised of the hourly rates in advance, as is the case where a tariff system is used. Attorney client tariffs, which are outside the normal court tariffs, are used.
In all instances, the client can either be sent an interim bill or a final all-inclusive bill, to cover disbursements, deposits of varying amounts depending on the nature of the matter are payable upfront.

CANNING OF LEGAL COSTS

F R Pandelani Attorneys believes in a mutually beneficial relationship with its clients. Invariably, clients could be able to stave unnecessary legal costs by inter alia adhering to the following:

* Realizing that not all disputes or potential disputes should lead to litigation.

* Avoiding litigation for the sake of litigation.

* Procuring written or oral legal advises in instances where there is an issue that   requires legal clarity.

* Exploration of cheap dispute resolving mechanisms with other parties such as   negotiations, conciliation and arbitration.

* Resorting to litigation only after all disputes resolution mechanism has failed.

* Resorting to urgent applications only where the cause of action is extremely   urgent and no other means is available to protect the interests of the
  company.
